Sizing & Configuration Guide
Selecting the wrong cable carrier chain size is the leading cause of premature system wear. Follow our expert 3-step formula to choose between our 55mm, 65mm, and 80mm variants:
Gather all cables and hoses that will run through the cable track chain. Find the single thickest cable or hose diameter ($d_{max}$).
The Golden Rule: The inner height of your cable hose carrier must include at least 10% to 15% safety clearance above the thickest cable.
Formula : Hi≥dmax×1.15
If your largest hose is 45mm, choose our 55mm series.
If your largest hose is 55mm, step up to our 65mm series.
If your largest hose is up to 68mm, utilize our 80mm series.
Do not stack cables loosely on top of one another. Use our vertical separators to isolate distinct lines.
Ensure that the total combined widths of all cables, plus the 2mm thickness of each vertical separator, plus a 10% side clearance, does not exceed the internal width (Bi) of the nylon drag chain.
The bending radius is determined by the stiffest cable in your bundle. Look at your cable manufacturer's datasheet for the "Minimum Dynamic Bending Radius" (usually 8 × to 12 × the cable diameter).
Select the bending radius (R) of the cable guide chain that matches or slightly exceeds the largest minimum bending radius requirement of your cables. A larger radius reduces cable stress but requires more vertical clearance space in your machine housing.
